Excerpt from our drivers education session today- "Now start letting the clutch out and at the same time start giving it a bit more gas. Gotta do it quicker than that... we are starting to roll backwards. That's it, that's it, now that the clutch is engaging, slow down the release a bit. Lurch, jolt, sputter, stall... argh, let's try it again". *** The poor Supra will never be the same again... you take for granted the intricacies of driving a manual transmission car - until you try to teach someone else how to do it. Ryan can now get started from a stop in about 10 seconds. Unless there is another car around, in which case he tends to get a bit anxious and usually stalls after a drivetrain jolting dropping of the clutch. In all seriousness, he is doing really good - it is just something that takes a lot of practice.
Obviously someone in the weather department screwed up and forgot to send out the memo that spring was supposed to start about TWO WEEKS ago. Alas, after something like 24 days out of the 28 so far this month being below average temps (like 15 degrees below)... tomorrow is supposed to be nice. *** Hopefully the memo to the solar department to turn the sun on makes it out tomorrow...
