It was getting past dinner time and we were getting tired after walking all day. We should have stopped sooner because we were now so hungry that we could not decide where to eat. We made another full loop of the town, a good mile or more walk) and still could not decide. We wanted to eat outside but all the places that had outdoor tables were ridiculously expensive. We wound up at the town entrance and in a desparate act to avoid walking through the whole town again, we decided to just eat at a KFC. *** We ordered, sat down, and started to eat. That must have revitalized me because I was immediately wondering if we should not have taken our meal and eaten it next to the river. *** After a few more bites I made an executive decision that we would walk the 1/4 mile or so and we packed up and moved to the river.
One more view of the river and we headed back to the train station. *** The 90 minute train ride back to London recharged us and we decided to go back to Piccidilly Circus and walk around again. Being a Saturday night, the place was absolutely packed for several blocks. All kinds of street performers and interesting people to watch. Even at 11:00 all the stores were open and it looked like things were just getting going.
Before heading back to the hotel, we zipped over to Westminster station so I could take some night shots of the Parliment building and river front.
