Here Gina is outside the side entrance. By this time it had started to rain...
And rain it did... eventually there was a brief break in it. *** We headed off to Piccadilly Circus to see the shops and find something to eat. Of course all those people that were at Buckingham Palace earlier had the same idea... we eventually ate at Adam's Ribs, an overpriced restaurant that at least had nice atmosphere. *** It was still raining after we got done so we walked around a bit with umbrellas and finally gave in and decided to just see a movie. The price I paid for this movie shows how desperate we were to get out of the rain... $25 for two tickets to a screen not much larger than my TV set. But it really did not matter as Gina and I were there together, sans kids, and that was all that really mattered. *** Meanwhile back in Germany, the kids went with Mike and Amanda to a German wedding. It must have been a pretty neat experience for them all because even the kids enjoyed it and they wound up going back to the reception.
Today we headed to Bath Spa England. It was a 90 minute train ride from Paddington station. The big attraction in Bath is one of the few (it might be the only, I can't recall for sure) working Roman bath. Contrary to the weather forecast, it was a perfect day.
