Another popular spot in Bath is this series of levies that lower the water level of the Avon river. There is a set of locks (no longer used) that boats would go through.
It was getting past dinner time and we were getting tired after walking all day. We should have stopped sooner because we were now so hungry that we could not decide where to eat. We made another full loop of the town, a good mile or more walk) and still could not decide. We wanted to eat outside but all the places that had outdoor tables were ridiculously expensive. We wound up at the town entrance and in a desparate act to avoid walking through the whole town again, we decided to just eat at a KFC. *** We ordered, sat down, and started to eat. That must have revitalized me because I was immediately wondering if we should not have taken our meal and eaten it next to the river. *** After a few more bites I made an executive decision that we would walk the 1/4 mile or so and we packed up and moved to the river.
