The Rhine flows incredibly fast for its size and as a result the return trip took almost 3 hours. It was much cooler now so we sat at the stern of the ship.
After getting back to Rudeshein we walked around for a bit more and listened to a band that was playing in a small square. The kids and Gina went into a store next to the square and looked at toys. It seemed like they had been in there for a very long time so I finally went in to check on them. Turns out the kids had been playing with some metal handcuffs (pretty heavy duty ones) and did not think to see if the key was there before locking Ryan up with them. Of course the key wasn't there. The kids tried to get him out and finally went up to the counter to ask for help. The lady opened a drawer looking for a key and finally said in broken English "No key". The kids just stared at her. She finally laughed and produced a key. Gina felt bad enough that she wound up buying a pair of the handcuffs.
