The stowaway plan didn't pan out either so it was time for plan C - an evening flight to Las Vegas and then a red-eye from there back to Cincinnati. I guess Las Vegas is not real popular at this time of the year. We had no problems getting first class on this flight.
We had a 3 hour layover before our 11:30 red eye. We had been in airports and an airplane for 12 hours at this point and we were further from Cincinnati than when we started! Fortunately we did not have any problem getting on the red eye. Gina and I got first class seats and the kids wound up in coach so we almost got some sleep. *** All together we drove 2000 miles (including the trip to Atlanta) and saw some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. It was a trip we will never forget! *** We arrived in Cincinnati at 6:00am, found our luggage (which made the original flight yesterday), found our van, and then headed home.
