Not wanting to push things too much with this first hike, and knowing how Kyle was not exactly eager doing the Sharon Woods hill, we decided to turn around and head back up. Gina, Ryan, and myself were reapplying sunscreen while Kyle kept talking about something. *** We finally turned around to see what he was saying and realized we were right in the middle of the mule trail and there were about 25 mules and riders standing there that had to stop and wait for us to move- and we did very quickly.
As expected, the hike up was much more difficult than coming down (which was not all that easy due to the steepness of the trail). Nevertheless, we hiked up in exactly the same amount of time as it took to go down, 90 minutes. We did take a number of Kyle-breaks (Ryan counted 10 of them before he got bored).
