An ironic last photo for this day because after a nice, albeit snowy, hike across St. Andrews Park, around Aurora Peak, and through Klapatche Park we started heading down. It was getting late, and there were a couple sets of boot prints taking different routes down the steep snow covered slope. We picked a bad set to follow and wound up slipping and sliding down snow covered slopes about like the ones we climbed to get up here. The snow was so soft and slushy that you could easily just mush down into it and wind up 30 feet below where you last stepped - usually wrapped around a tree or some other obstacle. That was probably good as there were a couple dangerous category drop offs on some of the slopes. With the late hour, being tired, and some real concern about losing daylight before we dropped below the snowline and regained the trail, pictures were low on the priority list.
Day 4 - North Puyallup to Golden Lakes
Hoping for a better day, we climbed out of the North Puyallup valley and had this view of the snow covered ridge we dealt with yesterday.
